Employers want someone who's already done the work, so that's what we give you, time in our own vSOC lab on the same tools they actually use. Watch the video and I'll walk you through the whole roadmap.
Takes about 2 minutes. We look at your background first to see if we can help.
The 5 Interview GuaranteeOur graduates now work at
What's actually holding you back
If you've done the certs, sent out the applications and heard nothing back, I get it, and I want you to know it's not because you're not smart enough, not technical enough or too old to make the move.
Here's the real problem. Employers want someone who's already done the work, and almost everything out there only gives you theory. Cert courses teach you how to pass an exam, and a lot of people get through on practice-question dumps. Uni courses are often taught by lecturers who've never actually worked the job. So you finish with a piece of paper, nothing real to talk about in an interview, and a CV that looks like everyone else's.
That's the gap we close. You get the hands-on experience first, so by the time you're applying, you've already done the work they're hiring for.
Why listen to me
I didn't start in cybersecurity. I was a musician back in Iran, and when I got into IT in my twenties I started right at the bottom, on the help desk doing the basic IT jobs.
When I moved to Australia in 2020, my degrees from Iran didn't count for much with employers, so I couldn't lean on paper. The only thing that got me hired was experience, and being able to show I could actually do the work. That's what took me into cybersecurity consulting, on projects across Australia, the Middle East and the US.
And I didn't do it alone. I paid for mentors along the way because I wanted to get there faster instead of spending years guessing. So when I built CyberXcel, I built the thing I wish I'd had: real tools to get your hands on, a mentor who tells you what to do next, and someone in your corner when you're applying for jobs.
How it works

Your mentor builds your roadmap, so you always know exactly what to learn and what to do next. No more guessing. You stay on track with accountability, live training every week, and our portal, so you never need extra courses or resources.

Join our unpaid virtual internship and train on real-world security tools inside our own vSOC environment. You experience the job before you have it, so you can show you can do the work instead of guessing from theory.

Our Australian recruiter works with you like a consultant. He builds your CV, LinkedIn and positioning around your background, not a generic template. His job is to get you interviews. Then you practise in mock interviews, so you walk in ready.

What students say on Google
Landed a job as a security analyst in 6 months with the help of the team at CyberXcel. Going into the program my biggest doubt was, "will the team be able to help me 1-1 or will this be another course", those doubts were gone by the time I went into my job hunting phase cause they helped a ton and gave plenty of feedback on how to face interviews. … 100% worth the investment!
The hands-on training, real-world cybersecurity exposure, and continuous mentorship helped me build the practical skills and confidence I needed to progress professionally. What makes CyberXcel stand out is that the focus goes beyond theory: you learn skills and tools that are actually relevant to working in the cybersecurity industry.
I would like to thank CyberXcel team for their support in my study, preparation for the new role and successful job hunting. CyberXcel team helped to structure my knowledge (our evening live sessions were the most valuable for me) and have hands-on experience with tools and real environment … guys helped me to go the right direction to get a job and pivot from finance to cyber.
The program starts by covering the essential fundamentals of networking and cybersecurity, ensuring students develop a solid base before moving into professional Blue Team tools and methodologies. What stood out the most were the hands-on labs. … The practical exposure significantly boosts confidence and job-readiness.
I joined the CyberXcel course to get more insights into Security Operations as I think it is important to my work in the Tech and Cyber risk and GRC space. The course has lived up to my expectations. … the weekly calls are very good knowledge sharing from the Security Engineers who run this course and they freely share their direct lived-in experience in cybersecurity ops.
Our promise
First, we look at your background to see if we can help. If we can, you get our guarantee: at least 5 interviews. If you don't get 5, we keep working with you, for free, until you do.
Your part: do the work, join the live sessions, follow the plan we build with you, and apply to roles the way your recruiter shows you.
We guarantee interviews, not job offers. You earn the offer in the interview, and we coach you for it.
Your questions
CyberXcel is a high-touch mentorship program, not a low-cost video course. You get a mentor, a roadmap built around your background, live training every week and an Australian recruiter who works with you like a consultant. That level of support is an investment.
Because it's personal, we don't know if we can help you until we look at your background. On your call we do that, shape your roadmap and talk through the investment, so you can decide with the full picture. Payment plans may be available for eligible applicants.
What is included
If you only want something cheap with little support and no mentor, YouTube and Udemy are great places to start. This isn't that.
A course gives you videos and leaves the rest to you. CyberXcel is high touch. A mentor builds your roadmap, keeps you accountable, trains you live, and our recruiter and mentors work with you on your CV, LinkedIn and interviews.
If you only need videos to study at your own pace, free and low-cost courses may be a better fit. If you want a mentor and hands-on help to actually get hired, complete the application and we'll see whether we're a fit. You still have to put in the work, and we are not selling a certificate or a guaranteed job.
Because a certificate on its own doesn't get you hired. Exams test what you can remember, not what you can do. Many people pass by memorising practice questions, and employers know it. You end up with a piece of paper and no real experience.
Think about hiring a car mechanic. Would you hire someone who has fixed cars before, or someone who only has a certificate? Employers think the same way. They want someone who has done the work.
That's why we put you on real tools in our own vSOC environment, with a virtual internship, so you build real experience you can talk about in interviews. Certifications can help later, but they shouldn't be your whole plan.
A degree is a slow and expensive way into this job. It takes 3 to 4 years and often leaves you with a debt. Cybersecurity changes fast, and many university courses are slow to update. Many are taught by people who have never worked the job in the real world. And when you finish, nobody helps you land the role.
With CyberXcel you train on the tools employers use today, with mentors who have done the work, and our recruiter helps you get interviews. You do it in months, not years.
It's more competitive than it was in 2020, and that's the point. A TAFE course or a certificate on its own won't set you apart anymore. To beat the competition you need to be a unique candidate, with real hands-on experience employers can see.
That's what we build. You train on real tools in our own vSOC environment, do a virtual internship, and get a CV and LinkedIn built around your background. Then you practise in mock interviews, so you stand out when it counts.
That's where many of our students started. Ben spent a year on certifications with no result. After hands-on training and mentorship he got 16+ interviews and a role at one of the biggest cyber firms in the world.
Employers want to see you can do the work. We help you build that experience, then position your background so it shows.
We don't see it that way. Employers hire for what you can do, and career changers bring years of real work experience. Marcelo came from over a decade in customer success and enterprise tech. Mohan had 10+ years in IT. Alicia was changing careers with a young family and a full-time job.
On your call we look at your background and tell you honestly whether we can help.
AI is changing how security teams work. That's a reason to build real skills, not to avoid the field. Employers still need people who can investigate, think clearly and make good calls, not just recite definitions.
We train you hands-on with the tools security teams use today, so you're ready to work in the job as it is now.
We can't promise you a job, and no one honestly can. What we can do is look at your background first and tell you straight whether we can help. If we can, you get a roadmap built around you and our guarantee of at least 5 interviews when you do your part.
You can also see real students from backgrounds like yours above. Their results are individual and not guaranteed, but they show what's possible when you do the work.
First, we look at your background to see if we can help you. If we can, we'll tell you. If we can't, we'll tell you that too.
If you join and do your part, we guarantee you at least 5 interviews. If you don't get them, we keep working with you, for free, until you do.
Doing your part means completing your roadmap milestones, joining the live sessions, applying to roles at the pace you set with your recruiter, using the CV and LinkedIn we build with you, doing the mock interviews, and doing what your mentors tell you.
We guarantee qualifying interviews under the program terms, not job offers. Employers make the hiring decisions.
You answer a few quick questions. If you qualify, you choose a time for a cybersecurity career strategy call. We look at your background, your goals and what has been holding you back.
We map out the skills, experience and next steps you need, and customise your roadmap. You can follow that roadmap yourself. If you want help implementing it, we can explore whether CyberXcel is a good fit.
Yes. We have real success stories from people outside IT. Sudhi was a mechanical engineer and Yuhan worked in video production.
But you need clear expectations. You will have to work harder to cover the gaps in IT fundamentals. If you're not comfortable with everyday tech, like setting up a laptop or finding your way around a computer, this isn't for you.
On your call we look at your background and tell you honestly whether we can help.
The program runs for 6 months, and your timeline depends on your starting point. Anup landed his role in 2.5 months. Alicia was placed in 5 months while working full-time and raising a family.
Live training runs every week and is recorded, so you can catch up when your week gets busy. Our labs run 24/7 and all the materials are in your portal, so you can fit it around your life.
If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll probably keep getting the same applications and the same silence, and every month that goes by is another month in the same job on the same pay. Or you can apply, and we'll look at your background and show you the roadmap we'd build around it. Either way, it's your call.
When you apply, we will:
